The Teacup Project - a celebration of friends

Several weeks ago, I received an email inviting me to be part of ‘My Table of Eight’. The idea is that the recipient of the email is to choose eight women who have touched their life and might participate in the forwarding of the email along with an inspirational quote (included below). If the recipient forwards the email, there are electronic promises that something fantastic will happen.
By sheer coincidence, a few days later, my mother brought over eight china tea cups that she had been saving for years. She didn’t want them anymore; they had outlived their usefulness and asked if I would like to have them. The china cups reminded me of the women in my life with their intricate designs, their individuality, delicate nature and the inner strength that each one possesses. I found them inspirational.
The inspiration has manifested itself in taking the email ‘My Table of Eight’ outside of the virtual realm and back into reality by inviting eight friends to participate in what I like to call ‘The Teacup Project’: a gathering of eight women who have touched my life over the years.
My challenge to all those that read this blog is to hold your own ‘Teacup Project’ with eight women who have touched your life within the next year. I think this could be the something fantastic that the original email promised!
Send us images and stories from YOUR projects and we’ll post them here!
My first Teacup Project is being held December 17, 2011 and I’m super stoked about it!
May today there be peace within you. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others around you. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
